Differential Pulse Voltammetric Detection of Acetaminophen Using Nickel Phthalocyanine/CeO2-Modified ITO Electrodes

The present contribution reports a novel electrode based on an ITO substrate surface-modified with nanofilm of nickel tetrasulfonated phthalocyanine (NiTsPc) cerium oxide nanoparticles (CeO2) for the effective differential pulse voltammetric detection acetaminophen, which is contaminant emerging concern (CEC). optimized ITO/NiTsPc/CeO2 responds linearly (r2 > 0.99) to acetaminophen in range 0.4 11.2 µM, limit (S/N = 3) 54.7 nM. This response reproducible fourteen consecutive runs (RSD 10.97%) and insensitive presence interfering CECs (amoxicillin, atenolol, caffeine, diclofenac, ethinyl estradiol, ibuprofen) at same concentration. can be used detect tap water, synthetic urine, pharmaceutical tablets, it performs similarly UV-Vis spectroscopy 95% confidence level.
